FAQ

Answers about the codes and the printed scale, sizes, capacity, materials, currencies, payment, delivery and returns.

The scale and the codes

What do the codes on the cubes mean?

Every cube carries its size code in a printed corner label: Q1 (XS) to Q5 (XL), QS for the slim cube and QF for the flat shirt folder. Compression cubes are C2 to C5. Accessories have their own families: T for luggage tags, P for passport holders, B for shoe bags and W for toiletry (wash) pouches. The size guide lists every code.

Why is there a ruler printed on the lid?

So you can see the size of a cube at a glance and measure what you are packing — a shirt folded to the width of a Q3, a pair of shoes against a shoe bag. The ticks are 1 cm apart, with longer ticks every 5 cm.

Do different sets fit together?

Yes. All Q cubes are cut on one modular system, so cubes from different sets sit side by side. You can add single sizes later by buying a smaller set.

Sizes and capacity

How do I choose a set?

Start with the number of days: the shop is sorted into a weekend (up to 3 days), one week (up to 7 days) and two weeks (up to 14 days). Or use the packing calculator, which also takes the size of your bag into account.

How are the litres calculated?

From the outer dimensions of each cube (length × width × height). A cube packed to the brim holds a little less than that.

Will a set fit in a carry-on case?

The sets in the one-week band are planned for carry-on cases of about 35–45 litres. Cabin size limits differ between airlines, so please check your airline’s rules and the inside measurements of your case.

How much do compression cubes compress?

Each compression cube has a second zip around its body. Closed, it reduces the depth of the cube — for example the C3 goes from 12 cm to about 7 cm — depending on what is inside. Soft clothes compress more than shirts with collars.

Materials and care

What are the cubes made of?

210D nylon grid-ripstop with a polyurethane back coating, polyester mesh side windows and nylon coil zips. The ruler and codes are screen-printed. Every product page lists its materials.

Are they waterproof?

We have not had our fabrics tested for water resistance, so we do not claim that they are waterproof or water-resistant. Please do not pack wet items in closed cubes.

Do the passport holders block RFID?

No. They are not made with RFID-blocking material and we do not claim they protect against card skimming.

How do I clean them?

Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, or hand wash in cool water. Close the zips first, do not tumble dry and do not iron over the printed ruler.

Prices, currencies and payment

Which currency will I pay in?

The currency of your delivery country: US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian kroner, or Swiss francs. Prices always show the currency code. You can change the currency in the header; this also sets the matching delivery country.

How can I pay?

The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. Payments go over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our payment provider, which is PCI DSS certified; your card number never passes through or is stored on our servers. Your statement shows QUENARO.

Do you have discount codes?

No. We do not run promotions, countdowns or discount codes. The price you see is the price.
